About OEM Tools

We engineer professional-grade automotive and industrial tools trusted by mechanics and technicians across America — backed by over a century of manufacturing expertise.

Our Story

OEMTOOLS was born from a straightforward conviction: professional mechanics deserve precision tools at prices that make sense. Since 1996, we’ve been developing specialty automotive tools under the manufacturing heritage of Great Neck Saw Manufacturers — one of the oldest, independently owned tool companies in America. That lineage gives us over a century of toolmaking knowledge, factory-floor experience, and a relentless commitment to quality that newer brands simply cannot replicate.

Our founding team understood something that still drives us today — the tools a mechanic uses directly affect the quality of work they can deliver. When a torque wrench is inaccurate, when an impact socket cracks under stress, when a cordless tool dies mid-job, it costs technicians time, money, and reputation. That’s why we engineer every OEMTOOLS product to meet the demands of professional daily use, not just weekend projects.

Over three decades later, our catalog has grown to include over 8,000 professional-grade tools spanning automotive service, impact and power tools, hand tools, shop equipment, diagnostic instruments, pulling and pressing equipment, and lifting solutions. Every product carries the same design philosophy we started with: build it right, build it to last, and price it fairly.

What We Build

We design and manufacture a comprehensive range of professional automotive and industrial tools that cover every task in a modern repair shop. Our 20V MAX lithium-ion cordless platform powers an integrated lineup of impact wrenches, ratchets, drills, and work lights — all sharing the same battery system, so technicians can build a complete cordless toolkit without managing multiple chargers.

Our specialty automotive tools — from coolant system kits and brake bleeders to diagnostic scanners and fluid extractors — are developed in direct response to the challenges technicians face servicing modern vehicles. We also manufacture precision hand tools including socket sets, torque wrenches, pliers, and wrenches built from premium alloy steels with chrome and chrome moly finishes rated for professional-level abuse.

Beyond hand and power tools, our shop equipment division produces everything technicians need to outfit a productive workspace — tool carts, creeper seats, fans, air compressors, parts washers, and jack stands engineered with the same attention to quality and durability that defines every OEMTOOLS product.

Our Engineering Philosophy

At OEMTOOLS, engineering starts with listening. We work directly with professional mechanics, fleet technicians, and automotive shop owners to understand the real-world problems our tools need to solve. This isn’t a marketing exercise — our product development team includes experienced technicians who’ve spent years turning wrenches before they started designing them.

We use chrome moly steel in our impact sockets because standard chrome vanadium fails under the repeated stress of pneumatic and cordless impact use. We specify brushless motors in our flagship cordless tools because they deliver more torque per watt, generate less heat, and last significantly longer than brushed alternatives. Our Posi-Grip No-Slip technology provides off-corner socket loading that protects fasteners while maximizing torque transfer.

Every OEMTOOLS product undergoes multi-stage quality testing that simulates thousands of hours of professional use. We don’t release a tool until we’re confident it will perform reliably under the most demanding conditions — because our customers depend on their equipment every working day.
